About Handmade in America
Betté & Eddie combined have made 7 attempts and achieved 4 Guinness World records for the Tallest Sandcastle and collectively they have raised several hundreds of thousands of dollars for various non-profit charities. This year, they have teamed up with our nonprofit, Angel and Jules for Others, and Beacon 70 to attempt to build the World's very first tallest Sand Sculpture by hand at Laurita Winery. All of these previous Sand Castle record and the new Sand Sculpture record Betté and Eddie are working towards follow the strict rule that the castle or sculpture may only be built by hand. Therefore we are in need of over 4 million pounds of sand and several thousand volunteers in order to make Bette and Eddies' vision of Handmade in America come to life.
